The Hag painted with Army Painter Speed Paints

This is a Dungeons and dragons model of a hag i painted to test out Army Painter's speed paints. My painting skill is not at a professional level and it takes me quite a long time to get the desired effect from painting miniatures. even when I'm done I feel that my skill level prevents me from getting to the next level of painting. I decided to try the Army painter speed paints to see if they would help and now I won't use anything else. the Miniatures that I  have painted with the Army painter speed paint look way better than what I could do with standard acrylic paints washes and dry brushing.

are these paints better than what someone who is really good at painting could do with acrylics? absolutely not. they are better than what I can do with acrylics however and because they are a one coat application and then you move on they've really sped up my painting I recently painted the entire deep Madness game in about 6 weeks which for me is blindingly fast. I fully recommend speed paints for anybody that just wants to get models on the table and wants them to look pretty good.

When I bought this model I purchased every available speed paint from the first iteration. Here is my result:

My Warlord Games British 8th Army/SAS army

This is my British 8th Army /SAS army. These were desert Fighters that fought in North Africa amongst other places. The models were mostly from Warlord Games.  The Jeep came from Rubicon models. I painted these a while back and don't remember the exact paints I used. I primed all of the models with Vallejo Desert tan primer. I then used all Vallejo acrylics and  Games Workshop  washes.  I will hear provide links to the guides that I used choosing the various colors. there aren't very many color photographs of uniforms from this period so if you just choose Olive drabs and khaki colors  you'll be fine.

Here is a link to the Vallejo British 8th A

rmy paint set. This was a big part of how I painted the models.

I also used this guide from Artizan Designs
